I started getting really irritated under my arms a couple of years ago, and I was using aerosol deodorant (and had done so for many years) so I wondered if I was becoming sensitive to it. Looking around for an alternative I spotted Wild, and deciding it would be nice to be a bit more eco-friendly I thought I would give it a go (with very low expectations to be honest). I tried the stick deodorant and, surprisingly, my irritation cleared up within a couple of weeks. I will say, the scents are strong, and I don’t really like a strong scent under my pits-but the cotton and sea-salt is OK so I stick with that. My hubby decided to try it since I had got on so well-interestingly he found the cotton and sea-salt was irritating (maybe the salt in it?) so he tried the coconut and really likes it-so much he hasn’t used anything else for a couple of years since he switched!
The cases have lasted well too-no need to replace them at all-although they do need a good wash every now and then as they get a bit gunked up from time to time. It washed out of clothes well and hasn’t stained anything, but I do find I get the “white blobs” under my pits by the end of the day. The refills are easy to use and I appreciate feeling like a green queen that I’m not sending anything to landfill. I’m not convinced we’ve saved any money with this switch, the refills are dearer than my previous deodorant, but on balance I think they last a little bit longer-depends how much you use I guess. They are smaller to store so you can easily fit a couple of spares in your drawer. 4.5 stars-I wish it didn’t leave white blobs but otherwise pretty perfect.
