I cant remember the real name of this off the top of my head but its known as sticks and balls in our house. Basically its plastic tubes and plastic balls (shocking) that stick together to build whatever you want-everything from rockets to busses, dens to tunnels in obstacle courses. The kids and my husband love this, hubby wants to get a second set so we can build even bigger things. There is a knack to the building-you have to make sure the arrows on the balls point upwards, and the “sticks” can get bent if you have ruffians like we do. The sticks also have a habit of popping out of the balls if they’re not fully shoved in so its a bit tricky for smaller kiddos to play. Also we have boys so it has been confiscated on occasion for being used as a weapon.
The other downside is I find it an absolute pain to tidy up because they pull it all out and once theyre finished it seems to end up strewn all over the house. But thats a small price to pay for a hot cuppa and 5 minutes to myself on a rainy day! One word of warning though-make sure they dont put the sticks in their mouths-just trust me on this one! 4 stars, I do like them but theyre not my favourite.
