Do you want to build a….well, pretty much anything? Then grab some playmags! Weve had ours for years and they are definitely one of the best things we have bought for our kiddos. They have built castles for Barbie, bridges, tall towers, building sites, zoos and heaps more. The magnets are still as strong as ever despite the oldest ones we have being seven years old now and although they get a little bit scratched they are pretty indestructible (and believe me, the boys have tried!). We have a few expansion sets as well as the OG playmags, and I really like the roads-that gets a lot of use. So does the building site (although there are some smaller bits in that so probably not ideal if your family has tiny teething kiddos) and the people. although, I will say its pretty hard to tell the mag people from the Duplo people so if you’re not worried about them sticking on and you have some Duplo you could easily just use them.
They have been great for tiny hands just interested in the way they stick together to some more complicated and imaginative builds with the bigger kids and even some STEM activities (bridge building to take a certain weight etc). I actually think my husband likes them the best-he’s always the first one pulling them out and trying to build a magnificent tower before the tiny tornado barrels through and smashes it! They are an investment, but they definitely last really well and are one of the few toys that really do grow with your child (and husband). 5 stars-saved my sanity on more than one occasion.
