In a bid to be “greeener” and save some pennies I decided to try bamboo kitchen roll (how has kitchen roll become so blooming expensive!!). Have to say pleasantly surprised! The do need a wash to become really absorbant, but they last for absolute ages, I bought one roll about two years ago and its still going strong. I really like it for wiping up, Im not sure what else there is to say about it? I just chuck them in the wash when I stick a load on and they wash and tumble/line dry absolutely fine. Its definitely saved us money over using kitchen roll, but I will say-I do keep some kitchen roll around for the very yucky jobs where you dont want to put it in the washing machine so we havnt completely quit squashed trees. 5 stars-absolutely fine.
